2005-08-06 [Erestor]: I'll have to give this a try sometimes - it's very helpful thanks cali!
2005-08-06 [Calico Tiger]: No prob! I figured it addressed a few things people would constantly ask me :)
2005-08-06 [Kileaiya]: *huggles Cali* So helpful!
2005-08-08 [Runingwhispers]: It is something I should have asked you...thank you for this
2005-08-08 [Calico Tiger]: If any parts are unclear or I didn't word them well enough or a screenshot on what the hell I'm talking about on a part is needed, make sure to let me know!
2005-08-10 [Calico Tiger]: o_O I didn't even know Elftown had official tutorial type things XD I'll link to there from here
2005-08-10 [Sunrose]: It has several! But I am trying to gather them on tutors, or more people are coming to me to get them there ;) (Tutorials is not an entrance wiki really though :)
2005-08-15 [Jeccabee]: this is cool...I'll have to try it sometime!
2005-08-17 [Zab]: Yay! Thank you! I've learnt two new things by reading this! ^____^
2005-08-18 [Daisy le Fleur]: This is helpful if you have Photoshop..but I don't. =( I only have Picture it Premium. I want to learn to paint digitally, but i"m afraid I can't with just that program.
2005-08-18 [Calico Tiger]: Unfortunately, I've never even heard of that program, so I couldn't even begin to help *comforts*
2005-08-18 [Daisy le Fleur]: I know...its more for photography crafts.. Oh well, it has the option to freehand paint on the image..but thats a disaster I stay clear of unless I am editing. Thanks though!
2005-09-13 [Ocean Soul]: Wha.. I never thought coloring the lines would make such a big difference with some pictures. But it´s really great (and easy to do if you have already colored+prepar
2005-09-13 [Calico Tiger]: :D
2005-09-26 [Patri]: Great tutorial! I've just read it and I'm going to try it now! :-) yay!!!!
2005-10-13 [The all powerful Midori]: uhm...im a little confused, by the end, were supposed to have the solid white layer AND the red-lined one? I thought I was supposed to press the delete button once I had the red lines, which brings me to the solid white one but then I lose the red line thingy....
2005-10-13 [The all powerful Midori]: hmmmmm maybe I should learn how to use the lasso first and then tackle this...
2005-10-14 [Calico Tiger]: No, if you have the red-lined layer still by the end, you've completely missed a step. Read the step below img 6 again :) You stayed in quickmask mode instead of leaving it
2005-10-22 [Elisha Kelly]: omg.... i so wanna try this.. hmm wonder if it will work on gimp.
2005-10-24 [Elisha Kelly]: Oh I thought I didn't have quick mask but I have found it.
2005-11-10 [Shjahjdahdvwa]: i cant use the delete part :S
2005-11-11 [Calico Tiger]: Hrrrrmm... What exact part are you at and what exactly is the problem? Let's see if anyone can help figure out what might be going wrong (this includes any watchers of this page who has used this tutorial and know what to do, or anyone who knows what to do in general) :)
2005-11-11 [Shjahjdahdvwa]: I can't find the paint bucket tool! So i filled the image with black... then used the mask and unmask and pressed delete and it appeared an error or something
2005-11-11 [Shjahjdahdvwa]: Oh i just did it! Thanks a lot :p
2005-11-11 [Calico Tiger]: Heehee! Glad you were able to find the problem!
2005-11-11 [Shjahjdahdvwa]: It helped me. Thanks a lot...I still got to practice a lot though
2008-07-10 [Avatar15]: First comment in 3 years. <3 Thank you so much for this.
2008-07-10 [Calico Tiger]: *slobbers* I'm happy people are still finding it useful :D
2008-07-10 [Zab]: I'm still finding it useful! Even tho I've learnt it by now..x)
2008-07-10 [Calico Tiger]: Which is always the best part! I've a few tutorials I'm using that I've still gotta just memorize so that I don't have to keep opening them up XD
2008-07-10 [Zab]: ooh, now I'm curious on what tutorials they are..xD
2008-07-10 [Calico Tiger]: <URL:http:/
I finally have this one mostly memorized and use it with painting in stray hairs as well (not that I get it to look that awesome, lol):
<URL:http:/
2008-07-10 [Zab]: oooh :P
That's how I make hair.. xD But I generally work a bit more with my home-made hairbrush and real colours before I go dodging and burning to rescue the hair, which I messed up with my painting... x)
2008-09-01 [Estantia]: Is it okay for me to link to this tutorial in my talk? you explain the lineart bit far better then I do!
2008-09-02 [Calico Tiger]: Yep! That's fine :D
2008-09-04 [Estantia]: Yay! ^_^
*goes to hunt for other awesome calico tutorials in case Iliga doesn't export dipping into digital*
2011-07-19 [Nioniel]: Great tutorial! :)
